Because We've Always Done It That Way
In this last of the summer series of episodes in "A Pane In The Glass Podcast", we take a look at the way organizations, (i.e. groups of people with a clear objective) go about achieving that objective. To illustrate what many groups do I recount a well known research project called "The Monkeys And The Bananas". I use a soundbite to demonstrate just how easy it is to do two simple everyday tasks the same way each and every time. I share some basic research on the topic of group decision making and end the episode with a very familiar curling situation where you have the opportunity to employ a tactic that makes your team unpredictable!
