A Pane in the Glass Podcast
A Dutch Treat
In this episode of "A Pane In The Glass Podcast" you will hear the remarkable story of a woman from British Columbia (born in Salmon Arm but whose formative years were in Golden) who suffered a serious automobile accident, moved to the Netherlands to be with her Dutch husband and in the process, established a curling programme from scratch (many times using personal resources) and now has a team competing on the world stage. That remarkable woman is Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon. You don't want to miss a word of her incredible journey.
I also answer a listener's letter regarding a recent episode where I talked about the culture of sport. Edie Lloyd asked about an interesting perspective on the subject about which I had not dealt in the episode. I deal with it here.
The episode concludes with my take on the topic of the day, Brad Gushue's public comments regarding more than one aspect of the Pan Continental Curling Championships taking place in Kelowna, BC. My thoughts are not about what Brad said, but the risk he took in making them public in the midst of the event.
