A Pane in the Glass Podcast
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Happy 2023 to you all! This episode of "A Pane In The Glass Podcast" is about a very important topic, not only for curling (in Canada and the rest of the curling world) but in life itself. More time has been spent producing this episode (and its followup episode next week) than any other.
Today's episode features Kim Forge, the newest member of the Board of Governors for the World Curling Federation (WCF) . As you'll learn, Kim lives in Australia but got there by way of Alberta, Canada.
Kim took on the task of researching the topic of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. That research took the better part of one year. You'll learn, what Kim learned, and by extension, what we all need to learn, when you listen to this episode.
I encourage all of you who have influence in your curling facility to forward this episode and the next which will continue the topic, to ALL those who curl in your facility. As Kim and the guests I will have in the next episode will attest, making curling more accessible and inviting to everyone is the responsibility of all of us, not just sport governing bodies, boards of directors, facility managers etc. but each of us who have enjoyed this wonderful sport for many years!
